Villascopia is an archaeological site that uses technology of the twenty-first century to revive a buried world: that of the Gallo-Romans in the fourth century.
In 1970 a beautiful headless statue of Minerva appeared out of the earth: the Gallo-Roman villa of Lamarque was discovered. Almost 40 years later the baths of one of the most beautiful Gallo-Roman villas are fully identified and staged in a show that uses Scénovision technology: images in 3D projection.
The archaeological garden: The remains of the villa from the fourth century (over 1.5 ha), especially notable for its extensive spa area of over 1000 square meters (was cleared in 1986).
The museum: Exhibition of several objects that were discovered after the excavation of the villa Lamarque: a unique set of fragments of statues, busts, preserved elements of architectural decoration (mosaics, painted plaster, marble veneers).
