Near the Château de Puymartin, the exceptional collection of huts or cabanes du Breuil perfectly illustrates the old Périgord region and its nickname of the land of stone. The corbelled vaults that form shelters, nestled against each other, seem to have sprung up naturally there like mushrooms, fresh with the morning dew.
If you fancy trying your hand at it, there are workshops to introduce you to the skilful technique of building stone huts.
